Everyday is indeed a new learning experience for me.

I was once a person quick with words and emotions. Sometimes too serious when talking, and sometimes not sensitive to my surroundings. However, i am thankful that through these years, i have learnt a big deal on how to handle emotions, how to smile while i speak, and how to pay sensitivity to other people's feelings.

On the contrary, the bf is one who speaks well anytime, anywhere.

He is ultra sensitive to the emotions of others, knowing how to pick the right words at the right time, and always making other people feel at ease. I was puzzled at how he managed to do all these, and concluded all as a "born talent".

Then during one sharing, he shared that he wasn't like this initially. It takes years of effort and of course, dealings with people, to reach to who he is today. He went through the exact same problem as i had eons ago. He made people mad, didn't really bother about what other people think (give a f***ing shit to what other people say, in his words) and was mainly quiet and reserved.

I was giving him the "HELL NO!" expression when he shared.

Later on in awhile, he shared further on how his belief anchored him in life, trained him to open up to people of all kinds (as he was a chief leader, and was "forced" to talk to many people working with him initially), and finally, he opened up, feeling a lot happier, and achieved more than what he thought he can in life.

That was when i started to receive teachings from his belief and was deeply enlightened by what was preached. It was the first time that i made sense to what was told, compared to the past when i was "forced" to read the bible, when the ex actually gave me one on V-day, and reminding me to read as and when i can. Well, of cos' i didn't finish the bible, so i can't comment.

Life is really a miracle.

I have fought hard for what i have always thought i wanted. Until lately, after embracing the belief, i began to think harder: Are these seriously what i wanted?

I do not want to sway, for i have been swaying like a pendulum for the past 29 years.

I want to have an anchor in my life, a philosophy that guides my decisions, actions and words.

And i am happy, cos' i have found it :)

Was rummaging through tons and tons of photos in my old computer a days ago.

Pretty interesting to see how me and my friends have grown. Some i have lost contact, some drifted, but a whole lot of them stayed, and we grew closer through the years :)

Just as i was about to shut down the computer, this picture caught my eye:

The date caught my attention further: 2007

Almost immediately, i watsapp the bf:"Hey, you rem where we took this photo?"

"No idea leh!" The bf replied.

So, we met a long while before we fell in love.

We were actually so close, but none of us remembered. After which, he finished his contract teaching and went NIE. I continued being a teacher. Then 2 years later, he returned. Our fate continued.

We went one big round and finally ended up with each other =)

Random updates-

- Laksa Steamboat -

Wore my newly bought flowery cut out dress from intoxiquette. It's my current favorite online shop other than LoveBonito and their quality is 9/10! Why 9? Cos i didn't buy ALL my dresses from them, so i can only give a 9. But the clothes are really comfy and of good quality =)

Aunty Sammi & hubby + hubby's friend was late and the bf just can't stop to wait for them! We were all super hungry anyway, so we started eating tanghoon with laksa soup first. Yummy!

It was the babes' first time here and we intro them there. Food was ala carte buffet style, and each adds up to about $25, depending on what you ordered. Good and inexpensive!
*soup base doesn't make you thirsty afterwards*

Happy trio after a superrrr filling dinner :)

new nest will be ready in a few months' time. Super looking forward to it! =)

the landscape is ready.

the balconies are ready.

the roads are ready.

Can't wait for the 2nd quarter for TOP! =)

been wanting a platform bed that isn't too low for us (in case next time pregnant, i'll be super xin ku) then we walked around Ubi area and saw this NOT eye-catching furniture shop that sells exactly what we want. *beams*

But the loss will be $3200 with bed frame, mattress and 4 foc pillows. The mattress is SOOO comfy that we wanted to roll on it, but gotta watch our image lor. Haha. HOW??? At a dilemma and still considering.... Sighs....

Btw the bf brought me to this wanton mee place that also sells tasty rojak. The sauce is so thick and savory with lots of peanuts crumbs and cuttlefish! Woohoo! Damn shiok. I was super full after eating a small bowl of mee, but couldn't resist the temptation... We finished these within like 5 minutes. Heh!

And it's only opened for business in the morning... Before 1pm i think. You can give it a try if you are in the east side :)

- Be my Valentine -

This year, i wasn't expecting anything on V-day as we agreed that money should be spent on worthy stuffs like our home furniture, wedding day etc.

Anyway, the bf actually planned to surprise me with a bouquet in the car, yes! my fav. champagne roses! But well, i kinda spoilt the surprise and so ended up there wasn't any surprise at all! Haha...

Well, it's always hard to get a nice picture together! Haha... And thanks for the thought dear =)

i was having my DA YI MA visitation, so ended up we spent a quiet night together resting, then heading over to punggol park area for football match (MAN U BEAT LIVERPOOL 2-0! HAHA!) and a light dinner :) Caught the lovely sunset when we arrived @ punggol :)

On the actual day (14.2.2012), the bf brought me to sunset way Rocky's for pizza! I've been dying to try the pizza after hearing all the raves about how good the pizza is.

finally something bigger than my face and butt! Haha... LOVE the generous amount of cheese and pepperoni on top. It's BOSTON'S SPECIAL, and only selling $20+ for the generous serving.

it's TOO BIG for 2! Omg!

After dinner was wine time... Everywhere was fully booked and luckily, we came across this newly opened wine shop with excellent services. The wine was SUPER nice, but the bf thought it's too sweet for him. It was good to sit outdoors, chat, played games and drank wine. So shiok! Esp. after a day's of work....

Thank you to the bf for planning everything! =)

This was an eventful week. Nah, not because it was V-day for us, but more of reality bites.

First of all, it was the passing of a friend's dog. Met the cute fur ball more than once, and seeing how it was reduced to bones due to liver failure can break anyone's heart. More so when i have one furry ball at home.

I can never imagine how am i gonna take it when ah boy leaves.... Though deep down in my heart, i know that life never ends. It simply changes its form and one day, somehow, we will reunite again.

Secondly, it's the same old thing. Work. I have been thinking hard on what i want to pursue. Do i want to live till 50 years later and regret not having the courage to do what i always wanted?

Then the boyfriend said something wise, "Seriously, if you've never tried, you'll never know."

Argh.... Once again, it's the same old feeling of having to make a decision again. *groans*

Anyway, i wonder how long i can "tahan" before i finally throw the letter and leave. Soon, i hope.

Thirdly, is the stress level of cutting down on my weight and preparing for the W-day. It seems like nothing has been accomplished for now, yet i know most have been settled. It seems strange, that you know you have done almost 90%, but something kept bugging you to revisit all the things you have done, in case you missed out on something.

And i have yet to cut down on my diet to reach my desired weight =(

Okai ... Shall stop whining over here. It was a good dinner with bestie jialing tonight. Shared a great deal about our lives, families and gossips.... Love it to the bits.

Kudos people! Am gonna hit the bed soon. Time to pamper myself by trying on the new mask i bought weeks ago, but have forgotten clean about it. Ha!

GOODNITE! =)

Recent Updates

Longest time since i've updated.

Okaizz... Not that long compared to many many months ago, but well, broke promise to myself that i will try my best-est to update regularly =P

Nuff said... Let the updates rollin'! =)

Long overdue pics - Xmas dinner 2011 with the lovelies =)

Us @ tampines giant frantically trying to source for bbq food! =P

The amt of things we bought for the bbq... Haha!

The plastic fork and knife we bought weren't strong enough for the hard-like-rocks steaks! So we have to pass the REAL knife we bought @ giant around the table! Heh heh!

This pic kept me laughing throughout the night! hahahahaha!
The amt of food we bbq for a table of 5... And this wasn't all that we had for the night! =P

Food was rather good that night! Though it was drizzling throughout and we had to use our brollies to cover the charcoal and food (0-0")

It has been a long time since we have taken a "normal" photo together. Sighs.

Pressies exchange time! =)

Thanks babe for the lovely musical cum accessories box! Loves!

Handphone pouch from wx to se.

Belated birthday gift for the babe! Charles and Keith white wallet. SOO tempted to buy the same for myself!!! >.<

Wx helping aunty sammi with her present. Wx bought a white gold bracelet for her! Woots!

Jyoji & i shopped for nearly 3 hrs the day before, and we finally settled for chomel necklace and earrings for sammi =)

Went Paragon for french food and turned out the service was damnnnnn LOUSY! We vow never to go again. Not only were we not allowed to share food, all of us were forced to order at least one main dish. And the waiter's dirty look i could never forget! Hmpf!

Luckily it didn't spoil the birthday gals' mood.

It was a splendid time spent with the gals... As always! Happy Birthday babes! =)

Nov/Dec are joyous months where many good things happened!

Best of all, it's the holiday month. So looking forward to the many short trips, the days of endless sleeps & retail therapy, plus precious time spent with family & friends!

First on the list... HL & FH's wedding @ rendezvous hotel =)

Me & the Gorgeous! Simply the baby blue gown =)

Also a time for us to doll up, catch up and enjoy the day away! =)

Right after program - Wine @ Wine Company Changi V Hotel. Very random, but it was plenty of fun and heart to heart talks. I like~ =)

Night Program - Sending off one of our colleagues @ pump room. ♥ the live band to bits. Never let us down. Mervyn came and joined us in the fun too! Had a wonderful night of fab music, lovely companions and booze. Gotta do it again! =)

30/11 Next up: All girls trip to bintan nirwana

Our first meal upon arrival: Aunty sammi drilling a big round hole in her bun so she can put all the butter in it! Hahaha, first time i see someone doing this! *faint spell*

Our first dinner: Seafood @ nearby kelong. Price was a little steep, but the food was nice.

2nd day: It was the monsoon season, but this didn't dampen our mood!

We went for a dip in the infinity pool....

Took a short stroll @ the beach in the resort......

Ventured to the other, quieter side of the beach.......

Took a 60mins full body massage that totally relaxes our nerves.....

And played bowling at the resort center! :)

Camwhoring outside the resort center facing the southchina sea.

Next morning: All geared and ready for a sunny day out! :) Went shopping in the small town.

Aunty sammi enjoying dinner @ resort. It was a right choice made. The food was very well prepared and so was the service!

Right after bintan trip: Meet up with the ladies for our Syonan-to trip @ sentosa! On the way to sentosa via cable car. Love the xmas deco inside!

It's an educators' trip to experience what it's like in WW2. Only a short 45mins trip with guided tour.

All of us with our fake ids. These added up to the fun & anticipation! :)

Our guide in green shirt and the driver in white. On our way to fort canning where the ww2 site is!

Us on the retro looking bus. Filled with unknowns! :P

Didn't manage to take any pictures on the site as it was really too dark and i was too engrossed in listening to what the guide said... Hee... But at the end of the tour, each of us bagged a certificate home! Yayy! We are proud "survivors" of WW2! Heehee.... :P

Lastly, Sabrina's housewarming @ Ghim Moh Link. It was a simple eating and catching up session with the peeps!
