Another guy friend of mine bought a new car recently. We went out for lunch and he was telling me how people around him kept teasing him to "get a gf asap since you've a car. Don't waste the car."
WTF?
What's wrong with having a car but no gf?
Why is it that some men love to connect cars with gals? Not all of the gals will fall in love with you SIMPLY becos you have a car, tho i do not deny that having a car is pure bonus.
Even if you drive an GTR but looks like 猪哥亮, or is a goddamn playboy, or is on drugs, or is a selfish jerk, i doubt any girl in their right mind will fall for you lor.
Unless, she is just after your $$$, or she's just using you to "show off" to people.
Or, she's plain down despo like you.
This guy i knew, who is only 28 this year, was telling me the other night, that he felt "stressed out" becos all of his childhood buddies are now married/have kids/happily attached for a long time and therefore, he is seeking for a "marriage partner" now as well.
I asked him what's the difference between a marriage partner and a gf.
He said, a marriage partner means that the girl must be the "homely, motherly type", the type whom he feels will wash his laundry for him, bear him 3-4 children, a good housekeeper and definitely a girl who is willing to take good care of everything for him, so he can "go out with his friends without any worries".
DAMN IT! BASTARD.
I almost have the urge to give him a tight slap.
In the end, i coldly asked him to find one in philippines. Lots over there waiting. If not, go Katong shopping center and step into any of the maid agencies there.

One of the guys is considered the mildest of all. But disgusting as well.
He's 27 this year, and said if he got attached this year, he planned to propose to her next year september (he's still single and anxiously seeking for a gf)
I asked him, "How come so gan cheong?"
Then he said, "Becos my mother wants me to 传宗接代 asap (pass on the generation line)."
Faints.
I wonder is it his mother getting married, or him?
Irregardless, i pity his next girlfriend. She's definitely gonna be treated as a "Production Factory" the second she stepped into their family. Sighs. Poor thing.
It's not that i disapprove people who wanted to settle down early. I respect that, if they are financially & mentally ready for it, and the reason to get married isn't solely based on "having kids/maid or any ridiculous reason".
It should be something that both parties are agreeable to. If both parties are in their late 30s and want to get married quickly and have children, it's okay, considering the fact that late pregnancy may involve many complications.
However, the guys mentioned above sound simply DESPOS to me.
Desperate to get married becos of mother's wish, becos they want a good housekeeper, because they felt the "stress"...... Is simply not healthy. And the marriage is destined to suffer because it is obvious that they do not respect women nor their partners.
Women are NOT factories production line.
Women are not born into this world, to go through 10 years of education, TO BE YOUR MAID, TO HELP YOU BEAR BABIES, OR TO HELP YOU PASS ON THE GENERATION LINE.
Many of us have a reputable job, have passion in life and face it, most of us even earn better salaries than many of you out there.
Who are you to command us like that?
Not even our own mothers lor. Shit.
Let's just cross our fingers and pray that we DO NOT meet DESPOS like these along the way.
And to be frank, DESPOS fall into two categories: 1) Conceal their real intentions so they don't look so despo initially 2) Outrightly despo in your face.
Whatever it is, a despo is still a despo. And it won't take long before you see their despos tails hanging out from their arse. Big piece of junk.
