I just had one of my happiest days this year.
All alone, i strolled down the paths of Orchard Road.
It wasn't crowded, surprisingly there weren't many cars on the road, there was a slight drizzle and the clouds were beautifully hiding behind the trees.
I put on my mp3, hummed softly to the tunes, strolling down the streets in my flats. All the way from wisma to PS, with nothing on my mind. Blank.
Then i decided to have my facial done. I walked in and spent a good 2 hours there. As i left, my thirsty skin felt alot more rejuvenated.
I wandered around. Sent a little message. Looked at my watch. It was only 5pm.
I then bought an ice-cream cone. Something i usually wont choose over ice-cream cup.
Taking the choc-chip cone made me superbly high inside. I think there must be some happy chemical in that small little whitish thing. Anyway, the uncle under that small umbrella who sold me the ice-cream cone to me, he looks equally happy and contented too.
Happiness, it's contagious.
Afterwards, the skies got darker. Time to go home for dinner.
On the bus, among some crying babies and making merry teens, i slipped into a peaceful slumber, dreaming of myself becoming an angel.
All was well. All was good. All was happy.
And, all was at peace.
Suddenly, i felt better. All by myself.
It was then i truly realised what they kept saying about 'Emotions don't belong to anybody else but yourself'.
Nobody has the rights or the abilities to decide what your emotions for today will be.
Cos it's all within you, and you have the rights to decide how you're going to live your life.
Good or bad, it's all in your hands.

Sometimes, the words a 19 year old girl uses truly amazes me:
A Man's Hands
They should rest naturally around my waist, and have
short, clean nails, because I want to be the only partner with a manicure. They
should be hands that occasionally hold out a bouquet of lilies; hands that I'd
love to kiss, and have stroking my hair while watching TV; hands that will lift
with ease the heavy table that I can't, and will slip a wedding band onto my
ring finger.
